The Salisbury steak was really good. The flavor was great, the meat was tender, and the gravy was so comforting. It honestly felt like a solid homemade meal.
Definitely one of my favorites!
Our Story

Kayden’s Comfort Kitchen was created from a simple idea: make dinner easier for families without losing the feeling of a real home cooked meal.
Like many parents, Aleta understands how busy life can get. Between work, family schedules, and the day to day responsibilities of life, finding time to cook a comforting dinner every night is not always easy. But she also believes some of the best moments happen around the dinner table, sharing a meal with the people you love.

What started as a love for cooking for family and friends slowly turned into something bigger. Aleta wanted to create a place where people in Salem and the surrounding communities could pick up fresh, comforting meals that feel homemade, warm, and dependable.
Named after her son Kayden, Kayden’s Comfort Kitchen is built around family, comfort, and community. Every recipe is prepared with care using simple ingredients and classic flavors people know and love. From meatloaf and lasagna to stuffed peppers and chicken and dumplings, the goal has always been the same: serve food that feels like home.
The kitchen focuses on a small rotating menu each day with both a classic comfort meal and a lighter option, allowing meals to stay fresh, consistent, and thoughtfully prepared in small batches.
As the business grows, Aleta hopes Kayden’s Comfort Kitchen becomes more than just a place to grab dinner. She wants it to become something families can rely on, a business that supports the community, gives back whenever possible, and helps make life just a little easier one meal at a time.
